This work is a frozen metronome, ready to swing in a random direction at any moment. What if you were simultaneously ready for two opposite actions? To continue or to disappear and fall silent. A timid attempt to create something new in the absence of an updated language suitable for discourse, more reminiscent of confused marking time or just ignoring out of habit? What and when will become the impulse for action?
The title is inspired by an essay by Australian professor Greg Hainge on the duality of states in the work of David Lynch - "not here, but not there either".
"The essence, in fact, is simple and requires from us only the use of a hyphen - that punctuation mark that divides one word into two separate parts without violating its unity.
