Born in 1998 in Lipetsk, Russia, Sonia Andrews is a multidisciplinary artist primarily working with installation and ceramics. A graduate of the British Higher School of Art and Design in 2020 and the Joseph Bakshtein Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow in 2022, she moved to France in 2023.
Her artistic practice navigates the intersection of nature and culture, exploring the dynamics between human experiences and the environment. The artist observes the mutual transformations through sculptural objects and installations, using a combination of organic and industrial materials: wood, polystyrene, ceramics, textiles, plant parts, and light.
