In the series of drawings entitled Perennial, Sonia Andrews depicts a Virginia creeper on a fence. The object of the artist’s daily observation during the spring of 2023, the plant growing on the wall is a metaphor for overcoming an obstacle and transforming it into a support for growth. Attention to the environment gives strength and hope for a new day.
