I hit the hay, 2024
Installation, bed sheets, eco printing
People say that one of the strongest bonds with our home, we form in the bedroom.Installation, bed sheets, eco printing

The heightened vigilance many of us experience when sleeping in new places is a manifestation of our evolutionary predisposition to be alert in new surroundings. Acting as a built-in safety mechanism, the vigilance is meant to increase our chances of detecting and eliminating potential threats.
In order to adjust to sleeping in new places, people turn to various methods – deliberately tire themselves out during the day, drink herbal infusions with relaxing properties, or bring objects to their bed that they are used to sleep with.
Sleeping with a mix of found leaves and flowers in my bed, each night I created a unique composition with the tossing and turning of my body. The resulting eco prints are the outcome of a repeated performative ritual of turning to your personal source of peace.
